Dr. Lorens' practice in Martinsville is an absolute triumph for animal lovers in this city. We had very few options before this clinic opened, with the choice to either drive out to Patrick County or Bassett for a good experience or strive mightily to deal with the not very kind front desk staff at the clinic in Collinsville. I've worked with at least a dozen professionals on Dr. Lorens' team and they are all fantastic. And, he is an absolutely premier doctor which is no small victory for a city of this size. I have literally, in the true sense of the word, seen him put a life back together through his skill and passion. I split time between here and Denver, CO and even there I found myself constantly missing the quality and professionalism that I grew so accustomed to here (although I did eventually find a great practice in Denver, too).

6-12-25 First time going to The Pet Clinic of Martinsville. What an amazing experience! We unexpectedly had to put our dog down and they fit us right in and all the staff members and doctors were incredibly helpful, supportive and understanding. We were there past the closing time and they stayed so we could spend time with our dog. Will definitely be taking my other dog here from now on and spreading the word! 💝

Dr.Lorens and all of his staff here are soo very compassionate and treat my baby like their own every visit ! She is always soo excited to be seen !

Wonderful. The facility is very clean, (I don't need to take an allergy pill prior to visiting) everyone is very nice, and the doctors are fantastic. Be aware though, if an emergency case comes in before your appt time, you will have to wait longer. Just like a human ER, people. If you bring in a pet who's been hit by a car, do you really think that annual shots or nail clipping patients should be seen before your baby? Please be respectful to the staff and compassionate for emergencies. These people are incredible. Please treat them as such. Also, their prices are better than most facilities around those area.

Very friendly and thorough service. Receptionist listened to my concerns and worked me in the first available appointment.. Staff treated my new fur baby with tender loving care. Dr. took time to answer all my questions and educate me on how to manage potential behavioral tendencies and overall wellness for my little girl. I look forward to a continued relationship with the Pet Clinic.

One of our dogs had a bad ear infection. Veterinarian here explained exactly what they could do for her and how much each step would cost. They even called to check on her. Super good experiance!! We are very pleased.

The staff is super friendly, especially when compared to places like Boyce Holland. They truly care about your pets! That being said, the costs here are much higher than others in the area.

I dont understand how this place has been given anything less than a 5 star! If the option was for 10 stars, I'd give them 15! My doberman was having issues with his hind legs and walking. This place got him in super quick and did labs. My dog tested positive for lyme disease. As I was in panic, the staff was super sweet and super understanding and let me stay in the parking lot with my dog until ready. They were awesome with my doberman and the results came fast and meds were prescribed. They even asked my budget so they knew what I could afford! Highly recommend and will most certainly use for my other 2 dogs. More than reasonably priced and most compassionate people I've ever met in a vets office. I could go on and on about the great things I witnessed there but I think its better to just experience them for yourself. Definitely wont be disappointed
